Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Primrose Hill
Man with Van Primrose Hill is committed to conducting all aspects of its business in an ethical and responsible manner. This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our own operations and throughout our supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to respect human rights and to identify, prevent, and address any risks related to modern slavery.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
We maintain a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, servitude, and child labour. This commitment applies to every aspect of our business, including how we recruit, employ, manage, and support our people, as well as how we select and work with suppliers and subcontractors.
All staff, whether permanent, temporary, or agency, are required to act with integrity and to respect the dignity and rights of all individuals. Any breach or suspected breach of this policy is treated as a serious disciplinary matter and may result in termination of employment or contract, in addition to any legal consequences.
Our Operations and Supply Chain
Man with Van Primrose Hill provides local and regional removal and transportation services. Our operations rely on drivers, movers, administrative staff, vehicles, and equipment. Our supply chain includes, but is not limited to, vehicle hire and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging materials suppliers, and other logistics and service partners.
We understand that risks of modern slavery can arise at different tiers of the supply chain, particularly where labour is sourced through intermediaries or where goods originate from regions with weaker labour protections. We are committed to working only with suppliers who share our values and who can demonstrate that they operate ethically and legally.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We expect all suppliers and subcontractors who work with us to uphold high standards of labour and human rights. As part of our onboarding and ongoing supplier management processes, we:
Request confirmation that suppliers comply with applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws in the countries where they operate. Communicate our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and require suppliers to take reasonable steps to identify and mitigate risks within their own operations and supply chains.
We reserve the right to carry out checks and audits, which may include requesting documentation, policies, and evidence of due diligence relating to working conditions, wages, and recruitment practices. Where we identify concerns, we will engage with the supplier to seek improvements within a defined timeframe. If a supplier is unwilling or unable to meet our expectations, we may suspend or terminate the relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage all employees, workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery at the earliest possible stage. Individuals are encouraged to report any concerns directly to management or through any internal reporting processes made available to them. Reports can be made confidentially, and we will take all allegations seriously.
We are committed to ensuring that no one suffers any detrimental treatment for reporting a genuine concern in good faith. Detrimental treatment includes dismissal, disciplinary action, threats, or other forms of retaliation. Any allegation of such treatment will be investigated and may result in disciplinary action.
Training and Awareness
We aim to build awareness among our staff about the risks and indicators of modern slavery so that they are better equipped to identify and escalate concerns. Where appropriate, we provide guidance on how to spot warning signs, such as signs of coercion, restriction of movement, withholding of documents, or workers appearing fearful or intimidated.
Managers and those involved in procurement or supplier relationships receive additional guidance so they understand their responsibilities for due diligence and ethical supplier selection.
Monitoring, Accountability, and Annual Review
Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery rests with senior management, who ensure that this statement and related practices are implemented and maintained. We monitor the effectiveness of our measures by reviewing reported concerns, supplier performance, and any audit findings, and by identifying areas where additional controls or support may be needed.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually to ensure it remains accurate, effective, and aligned with legal and best practice requirements. As our business and supply chains evolve, we will continue to improve our procedures, strengthen supplier engagement, and refine our training and reporting mechanisms.
This statement reflects the position of Man with Van Primrose Hill at the time of publication and applies to all our operations and supply chain relationships.
